Location
Immersed in the peaceful Tuscan countryside, the luxurious vacation villa is located in Barberino Val d`Elsa (Florence), in that area of Tuscan stretching between Siena and Florence called Valdelsa, that is, the valley of the Elsa River, which is a tributary of the Arno River.
In the Middle Ages, the realization of the Via Francigena, the ancient pilgrim route that connected northern Europe to Rome, favored the development of Valdelsa. It is in that period that the first parish churches, the watch towers, the first fortified burgs (including San Gimignano) and the castles of Certaldo, Castelfiorentino and San Miniato were built.
Between the 13th and the 14th century Valdelsa was also the theatre of the struggle between Siena and Florence for control of the region, which ended when Florence conquered San Gimignano and Poggibonsi in the 15th century.
Description
The luxurious vacation complex is part of an ancient burg mentioned in a document from the Carolingian times; the burg is situated in proximity to Barberino Val d`Elsa and just a few kilometers from San Gimignano.
The ideal accommodation for those who would like to relax admiring the enthralling panorama, the villa is an excellent point of departure for pleasant one-day trips to Florence, San Gimignano, Siena and many other Tuscan tourist destinations. A riding stable, a tennis club and a golf club are within a few kilometers of the estate.
In the wide garden that surrounds the buildings lies the private swimming pool (6x14 m; depth: 1.40 m). The pool side is equipped with sunshades, sun loungers and a small pergola.
The complex has a fitness area composed of a sauna, a dressing room and a bathroom.
A pergola and the wide panoramic terrace with a gazebo furnished for having meals in the open air afford a splendid view of the gentle Tuscan hills.

The complex consists of various buildings and in total composes of two kitchens; two living rooms with kitchenette; four living areas; eleven double bedrooms with ensuite bathroom; a suite consisting of a double bedroom, a twin bedroom and a bathroom with whirlpool bathtub; a suite composed of living room, a double bedroom and a bathroom; a bathroom with shower; a half bathroom.
One of the double bedrooms is accessible to guests with disabilities.
