Location

The villa stands at an altitude of about 110 meters on the hills east of Florence, near Pontassieve, in Valdisieve. Thanks to its position, it is an excellent solution for those who want to relax in close contact with nature and at the same time would like to visit one of the most beautiful and renowned cities in the world.

Florence and its monuments - such as Piazza del Duomo with the basilica of Santa Maria del Fiore, Giotto's bell tower and the Baptistery, the Pitti Palace and Boboli gardens, Piazzale Michelangelo and the basilica of San Miniato - are within a short drive or train ride from the villa. Fiesole, with its Roman amphitheater and its wonderful view over the town of the lily, is also a few kilometers from the estate.


Description

The beautiful villa is the result of the restoration of a 12th-century hamlet that once belonged to the Cerchis, a rich Florentine merchant family. The chapel next to the villa is dedicated to a member of this important family: the Blessed Umiliana.

A large terrace equipped with outdoor furniture for guests to have meals and relax in the open air surrounds the building.
The private swimming pool (10x4 m; depth: 1.50 m) in the garden is exclusively reserved to guests.
A barbecue area is at guests' disposal.

The elegant three-story building composes of kitchen with fireplace/barbecue, dining room, living room, large living room with a fireplace and a billiard table, six double bedrooms, six bathrooms with shower (one accessible to people with disabilities) and a half bathroom.

The villa is equipped with barbecue, fireplace, billiard table, oven, pizza oven, microwave oven, freezer and private car parking space.
A domestic help is available upon request.
Guests have the opportunity to taste the honey and olive oil produced in the farming estate of the owners of the villa and the wines of the most important Tuscan wineries.

Some food shops are 1 kilometer from the villa.
Other shops and services of any kind and the railway station with trains to Florence historic center are 4 kilometers from the estate.
