Location

The farmhouse stands at an altitude of about 310 meters on the Chianti hills, a few kilometers south of Florence, near San Casciano Val di Pesa.

The area that stretches among the province of Florence and Siena is renowned all over the world for the production of Chianti DOCG and a stay at the farmhouse will give the opportunity to discover the secrets of this famous wine: many wineries in the area organize guided tours of their cellars as well as wine and other local products tasting events.

The Chianti region is also scattered with castles, villas and charming Romanesque and Renaissance churches. The churches of Panzano, Volpaia, Vertine and Meleto and the church of San Leolino in Panzano are worth a visit.

Greve in Chianti is renowned for its main square, at the center of which stands the statue of Giovanni da Verrazzano, the explorer who discovered the bay of New York.


Description

The stone farmhouse with beamed brick ceilings and terracotta-tiled floors is just a few kilometers from Florence and its historic center. Siena, Arezzo, Pisa, Lucca and other important Tuscan cities of art are within easy driving distance.

The farmhouse is immersed in the typical Tuscan countryside landscape, and the private swimming pool (14x7 m; depth: 1.50-2.00 m) set in panoramic position affords wonderful views of the hills covered with vineyards and olive groves.
A wide paved area furnished for dining outdoor stretches around the building.


Accommodation

The farmhouse is a three-story building composed of entry room with fireplace, kitchen, two living rooms (one with a fireplace and one with the dining area and access to the outside), passageway living area leading to the bedrooms, five double bedrooms (three with private bathrooms), a passageway twin bedroom, a fourth bathroom and a half bathroom.

Facilities and Services

The farmhouse is equipped with barbecue, fireplace, fans, oven, freezer and private car parking space.
A domestic help is available upon request.

Shops and services of any kind and a bus stops with buses to Florence and Siena are 3 kilometers from the property.
