The elegant 14th-century villa stands on the hills south of Florence, about 3 kilometers from Ponte Vecchio and the major monuments of the historic centers of the capital of Tuscany. The area in which the villa is situated, from which the Chianti region is easily reached, is also known as "Paradiso degli Alberti": in fact here lived the famous architect Leon Battista Alberti.
The garden that surrounds the villa is furnished with tables and chairs for eating al fresco together with the squirrels and pheasants that wander among the fruit and olive trees.
The private swimming pool (5x10 m; maximum depth: 2 m) is furnished with deck chairs. The swimming pool is partly suitable for children.
The most renowned Florentine monuments are easily reached by bus (a bus stop is in proximity to the villa). Sporty guests can however get to Florence historic center on foot (25 minutes) or by the two bicycles at their disposal.
House maid and baby-sitting services are available upon request.
Distances: Siena about 50 km, Pisa about 80 km, Lucca about 75 km, San Gimignano about 50 km, Volterra about 70 km.
The property (sleeping 12+3) features the main villa and an annex.
Guests are granted the exclusive use of the whole estate even in the event they decide not to use the annex, which will stay vacant.
