Location

The villa stands in panoramic position on a marble hill near Lucca.

Founded by the Romans, as demonstrate its plan and the presence of an amphitheater, from the 5th century Lucca was occupied by the Goths and the Byzantines before becoming one of the major towns of the Longobard kingdom. In the Middle Ages, Lucca was one of the most important stops of the pilgrimage from northern Europe to Rome along the Via Francigena.

The walls that still surround Lucca historic center were built between the 15th and the 17th century and are considered among the most well preserved in the whole continent. Lucca is also called the "town of the hundred churches" because of its many religious buildings. The most important of them is certainly the Cathedral of San Martino, which houses the famous funerary monument to Ilaria del Carretto by Jacopo della Quercia. The town is also rich in Renaissance palaces and towers, the most renowned being the Guinigi Tower.


Description

The villa is immersed in a property consisting of 10 hectares of olive groves and woodland featuring also an annex that is rented upon request only with the main building.
The luxurious villa designed by two famous architects and interior designers has luminous rooms with large windows overlooking the surrounding countryside and the town of Lucca. The roof can be opened to ventilate the whole building.

The private swimming pool (26x5 m; depth: 1.20 m) surrounded by a wide relaxation area stretches on a panoramic terrace a few dozen meters from the house.
At guests' disposal: the barbecue equipment and a table-tennis table.

The villa is an excellent lodging for visiting Lucca, Pisa and Garfagnana, but also for spending some hours by the sea: in fact, the beaches of Versilia are within short driving distance.
A golf club is in proximity to the villa.


Accommodation

The villa is a three-story building consisting of entrance, kitchenette with dining area, living room with fireplace, four double bedrooms (one with ensuite bathroom with bathtub), a room with a double sofa bed, laundry room, two more bathrooms with shower and a half bathroom.

The villa features also a fitness area.
Two terraces are accessed from the first floor. One of the terraces leads to the swimming pool.

The villa is equipped with outdoor Jacuzzi, table-tennis table, barbecue, fireplace, fitness area, DVD player, stereo system with CD player, oven, microwave oven, freezer, and private car parking space.

Shops and services of any kind are 5 kilometers from the villa.
