Location

The villa stands a few kilometers from Montecatini Terme, in Valdinievole, a region of north-central Tuscany that owes its name to the Nievole, a torrent that flows through the central-eastern part of the valley.

Because it was a marshy area, in the past the region was called "valle della nebbia" (the valley of fog; the name Nievole comes from "nebula", the Latin word for fog).

Valdinievole is an area rich in hills covered with chestnut and olive trees that slope towards the plain of the Padule di Fucecchio, which constitutes the widest internal marshy area in Italy.


Description

The small villa is surrounded by a garden that overlooks the surrounding countryside and is furnished with table and chairs, parasol and deck chairs for having meals in the open air and relaxing in the peaceful atmosphere of Valdinievole.
The private swimming pool (5x8.50 m; depth: 1.50 m) stretches a few meters from the house.
Some toys for children and the barbecue equipment are at guests' disposal.

The small villa is an excellent lodging for various kind of tourists: art and culture lovers can visit Lucca, Florence, Siena, Pisa, Volterra and San Gimignano, which are all within short driving distance; those who wish to relax and dedicate to their well-being can visit the thermal baths in Monsummano Terme and Montecatini Terme; last but not least, sporty guests can keep fit at the tennis club, riding stable or golf club a few kilometers from the villa.


Accommodation

The villa is a two-story building consisting of kitchen, living room with double sofa bed, three double bedrooms, a bedroom with a double and a single bed and two bathrooms with shower.
Both floors have a direct access to an outdoor area equipped with table and chairs.

The villa is equipped with bicycles, toys for children, working fireplace, fan, stereo system, DVD player, fridge, freezer, traditional oven, microwave oven, coffee maker, toaster, vacuum cleaner, iron and ironing board, hair dryer and private car parking place.

A cook and a domestic help are available upon request.

Shops and services of any kind are 500 meters from the villa.
A tennis club, a riding stable and a golf club are within 7 kilometers of the estate.
Montecatini Terme thermal baths are about 13 kilometers from the property.
