Riparbella is located in the province of Pisa in the Val di Cecina. The area is renowned for its sandy soil and bedrock that characterizes it. The village is located near the shore of the river Cecina on a high hill about 200 meters above sea level. The Riparbella Castle dates back to 1000 and the medieval village is definitely worth a visit. A few kilometers out of town there is Poggio Malconsiglio with its 20 wind turbines that convert wind power into wind energy.
