Dudda in Chianti is a little hamlet in the municipality of Greve in Chianti, which is considered the capital of the famous Chianti region, in Tuscany. The name of the village derives form the torrent flowing through it.
Located only 7 kilometres from Greve in Chianti and 8 kilometres from the Arno valley, Dudda is in the heart of the Chianti Classico region, surrounded by the green Tuscan hills covered with vineyards for the production of the renowned red wine exported all over the world.
In the summer 1944, bloody struggles between the Italian partisans and the retreating German troops were fought on the hills around Dudda.
