Location The stone farmhouse stands at an altitude of 266 meters on the hills of eastern Tuscany, near Subbiano (Arezzo), in Casentino. Casentino is one of the four valleys in the province of Arezzo: a natural oasis that stretches between Pratomagno, Alpe di Catenaia and the plain of Arezzo. It is in the luxuriant Casentino forests, on Mount Falterona, that the springs of Arno, the most important Tuscan river, are located. Casentino is also a region rich in medieval castles and hamlets - the most famous being the castles of Romena and Poppi -, churches and sanctuaries - including the widely renowned sanctuary of La Verna, where Saint Francis of Assisi received the stigmata. Description Situated in a very peaceful place, the farmhouse is the ideal destination both for those who want to relax hiking or mountain biking in unspoilt nature and for art and culture lovers, who will have the opportunity to visit the nearby towns of Caprese Michelangelo, Sansepolcro, Cortona, Arezzo and Anghiari. The house with terracotta-tiled floors and beamed ceilings is surrounded by a wide fully fenced garden equipped with a masonry barbecue, a hammock and a table with chairs for having meals outdoor. The private swimming pool (10x5 m; depth: 1.50 m) is just a few meters from the building. Accommodation The farmhouse is a two-story building consisting of kitchen, dining room, living room with fireplace, laundry room, four double bedrooms (two with ensuite bathroom with shower), two triple bedrooms (one with ensuite bathroom with bathtub), a twin bedroom and three more bathrooms with shower. The kitchen and the dining room have a direct access to the garden. Facilities and Services The farmhouse is equipped with barbecue, hammock, oven, freezer, American-style coffee maker and private car parking space. A maid service is available upon request. Dinners are organized at the farmhouse upon request. Shops and services of any kind are within 8 kilometers of the estate.
